day 9

I woke up at 6:30 because I couldn't sleep anymore due to stress. The train was departing at 10:19, I wanted to get here early enough. I went to shower first as I needed to pack my cosmetics and get packing finally done. I ate a breakfast which barely went through, I made myself some food for the way back home. We went out bit after 9:00.

Commute to the station wasn't that scary actually despite transferring two times, even at the metro. I almost got controlled for 3rd time this week, my 24h ticket from Monday still was valid though. We were 40 minutes before the arrival, I still felt unsure about the platform and went down to check it on screens few times. My aunt told me that departures don't get changed in the last moment, only trains which arrive here might end up on a different platform than announced.

The train arrived late, my seat was actually in a wagon which was in the middle of the train, guess because it was split later. It was an actual 1st class car, but there was a mess because it turned out seats here overbooked... and on my seat, there was my resevration stated. One woman was nice enough to pass it, but then boomer woman from my country, getting out waaay before me wanted to kick me out of my seat I booked in middle of June. It later got sorted out.

I had two male, middle aged male frogs (or french language swiss) in front of me. There was one anglo or irish zoomer sitting next to my seat. It was better than later experience starting in Kraków Główny though. Two Frenchmen seemed to be more of gen x rather than boomers, they probably were touring europe together. They had an album about trains trough europe, one was reading a guide to Baltic States. Also one of them had a book with a cover I liked, I checked it and it was by Noir-Romance book from 1998 (I knew it must be from late 90s) by an author probably unknown outside Francophone countries. Once I saw this dude read up about my native language, it was kinda cute.

Before train arrived in Kraków Główny I finally got a first real coffee in 9 days. There was dining part. It wasn't the best but it was better than instant coffee I had endure at my aunt's place. Next time I'm taking my own one here.

At Kraków Głowny all foreigners got out. There also was an Ukrainian woman who usually lives in Belgium, who confused train/wagon and ended up here by mistake. There also was an American dude she talked with, dude had this cringe registered Democrat vibe ugh. At one station before the terminus everyone rushed to the doors thinking it's the last one and I had to tell a Kraut dude who sat next to me and these American dudes that it's not the right station as I know english. I managed to get out myself and get to the car. The ride was really tiresome and less comfortable than going to Prague somehow... But I ended up staying up late to go through my photos.
