I don't buy lot of makeup still and I don't watch many films or read books. I fall behind everything.
I think I read it mostly because it's close topic wise to Billboard (1998) as it's about advertising industry, but this time in Yeltsin's Russia, main character is a copywriter and you get esoterism, existentialism and some Babylonian religion instead of suspiciously missing model. I really like a strongly contemporaty novel, you know it takes time at that time and place, but the exact year is really unclear which is interesting, as a tool to create an average of certain time and place. Pelevin's style feels meandering despite being pretty simple, maybe because of tone it's written in and slower pacing, but I enjoy it because it took longer to read it than some books I read recently. I plan to review it in full, so I won't drag it too long here.
Since I got a boquet of tulips on 8th, I really started enjoying keeping cut flowers in my bedroom. I want to get different vases, from glass, as not every shape fits all flowers. Tulips are beautiful in ball shaped vases, when gerberas look better in narrower ones. I currently have gerberas, but I consider changing it up and getting lilies next time.
I love Edyta. She's probably my favorite musician right now. Female singer songwriter whose music just feels right, it isn't too pompous "little soul" music which I don't like as much. It feels pretentious for me. Edyta's music is personal, emotional, but down to earth. Realistic and beautiful. Siedem Mórz, Siedem Lądów is such a beautiful song, the sonic atmopshere of it is otherwordly.
I had it for year and I want to use it up before it becomes spoiled. It's a strong beige shimmer, a shade I can't find somewhere else. I don't like lipgloss and I'm trying to use up what I got (never buying again) but it didn't feel good, I got similar colored lipgloss but it's annoying. When lipstick lasts me longer. Depending on lip pencil under it, it looks different. I like to use it with beige or coral nude one, it's most enjoyable that way.
