I decided to save up for a used straight stitch, as it will last me ages and these machines are built for very regular intense use. Instead having to oil my new machine so often or buy another Singer 800 class clone...
*It snowed a lot during the night. I'll probably get the rubber shoe protectors finally, was putting it off for long time.
*Using as much of fabric I can and get smallest amount of scraps been a lot on my mind. Good while ago I started calculating using different method. Now I'm trying to fit in three pieces of clothing (jacket, skirt, pants) on around 2,9m of fabric. It's mostly possible as I cut my jackets quite short, 64cm is the longest I can wear without looking terrible, with my short back. I have one more piece I want to use in a way to cut a jacket and two skirts, as it also matches a piece of wool blend (66% wool, not that bad one actually in touch) that I meant to use for a typical outerwear jacket but I feel even with batting it wouldn't be good.
I started cutting the coat I want to sew from test fabric but now I wonder if I should copy bigger size already.
