For past three weeks I barely wanted to write. I occupied myself with something else and desire to journal waned, that I struggle with writing this entry now. I finally cleaned up my room.
Last week I cut a skirt and today I finished first actually wearable piece in 3 months. Additionally I finished a skirt that I started sewing last year, I was surprised though how decent my work was last year, though I wish I learned how to properly machine stitch lining to zippers and slits because it won't cause snagging in long run. I want more fabrics and I wish I could find affordable cream/beige melange wool. Same for grey, but in like, various shades as I lack it the most... random pieces I got that are enough for skirt, long skirt or pants aren't what I want and I have to think about what I can pair their with before jumping to sewing.
I've been buying too much off Vinted, but for money that I'd have pay for one pair of pumps I got some nice pairs from one brand from my country but also Hogl (including ones actually from the 90s, they had great packaging too). I have some more on watchlist... I hope they'll stay here for a while. I wish fashion victims didn't ruin burgundy/red as color. It's funny how it's trending exactly these 25-26 years after it become trendy. When charteuse or striped sweaters will come back? or maybe felt and boiled wool?
I'm cutting two tops and a dress to sew test garments of, I need to practice my precision before using some fabrics I had since last year, but also some that I'm just scared to use up. You can get linen in fun colors still, but with wool it's way harder. I even emailed some stores asking if they'll have new arrivals, they told me they won't... guess animal print polyviscose is more important. It's weird given how everything they had last year sold out, even good wool blends sell instantly because it's so hard these times to get them.
