Last week I worked on Saturday and I couldn't get a day off that week, so I took it today. Not going to work tomorrow too, I finally have some more time. Neocities works so slow recently that I switched to writing my updates in notepad... It's annoying when I want update pages I don't want to upload over and over, as editor loads so slowly. There's some issue with caching going on too.

I've read around 140 pages of Underground, it's a book which you read fast despite the content. I would be halfway into if I stayed up later yesterday but my body forced me to sleep around 1 hour before I usually go to sleep. I remembered about Banana Yoshimoto. I instantly went to check the database of my local library but unfortunately copy they have in main library is borrowed until July, but I have enough of books to read this month. I always wanted to read some of her novels but only few were translated to my language, two of them back in mid 2000s... it was same time when most of Murakami translations appeared, ones done directly from Japanese.

Recently I thought if going through women's magazines from my country, issues from mid 90s to mid 00s and women's internet portals from early 00s for finding book and media recommendations would be fun. I want to piece together what women in my country read back then, I kinda strive to recreate the feeling of that time by reading books which were released during this time.
