I went shopping for a first time in a while... I mean for my 2nd and 3rd worst consooms, which are shoes and makeup, respectively. My mom told me to buy some clothing but honestly every visit to a fast fashion store is daunting as anything I'll like is 100% polyester and I don't want clothing of low quality, with huge markup produced with literal slave labor. Last time I bought anything from a store like this was some t-shirts 2 years ago and I still wear them... and after they'll get holes I'll wear them for stupidly long time at home. One of fast fashion pieces I actually enjoy wearing is a viscose-linen blend blouse which is from a big chain from my country and surprisingly it was made in my country too! I had it since forever and my mom actually picked it and I guess I needed time to grow up to like it.
There was one piece I liked but like I said before, it ended up being 100% polyester. It was a dress which instantly reminded me of model 111 from Burda 06/98, but it had higher neckline so it seemed perfect to me (I plan on sewing this dress but first I need to adjust the neckline height...) but when I checked it inside the store... it was disappointing. Even worse was that it was more dense, heavier poly fabric so it's something that is nightmare to wear.
I also went to try on some summer shoes. This season continues wave of dogshit looking shoes though one manufacturer from my country still has some cute models and I can't decide which. There are sandals with low heel from thicker leather, available in two colors - black and cream but I can't decide which!! I'd take both as they are incredibly confortable but honestly more expensive than comparable shoes last year. They finally got cute pair of slingback shoes I wanted to try, they are almost perfect as they are low heel and rounded point toe (though I'd prefer tasteful, not too wide square toe) except the color. They are only available in hot pink, beige suede or gold. I already have same model, but with full back in gold. Suede is nightmare to keep up looking nice and pink... it's horrible irl. Despite having sewing ton of pink clothing (more coral, deep pink shades though...) in my short term goals they'd clash with them. I wish they had them in cream or beige so damn much. I ended up buying none because I have to think it over.
Instead I turned to another consoom, makeup. I actually needed a concealer and powder. First one for my under-eye shadows which make me look sickly and powder to mattify my face and I didn't want to take my mom's one which gets clumpy despite it being a Clinique powder... I got mine from Clinique too but it was pressed one. I like it as it isn't that noticeable like powdery powder and it does mattify my face well. I almost got concealer from same brand, it was more pink shade but it did conceal blue/violet well and it was insanely light formulation but too bad... they didn't have it in stock so I went from one from higher end brand from my country. Which was surprisingly a better pick as it was almost exact shade my foundation is and it's pretty light one too, it didn't irritate my skin either. I got another lipstick and Inglot had -20% off so it was so cheap... I ended up going for most sparkly beigeish pink shade for most 90s factor... it's literally the best pearl lipstick I found so far. The frosted, pearl shade also looks good mixed with my usual darker one which results in really light shade for daily wear. Now I only need to get a mascara. I consider getting one my mom uses but there are issues with the tube later on so I might get it next month and I'll probably look for something else.
At the same occassion I tried Flower by Kenzo again and I'm not set it isn't a scent for me. I could smell it clearly now and it just smelled like a cheap hand soap with some oil or something. Vanilla scent overpowered any flowers here, it's incredibly cream like and I despise scents like this. Light powdery ones are fine for me though. At least it lasts really well for the price, but I still wouldn't buy it. I'm still searching for my summer perfume but I can't even find a place with testers for Happy by Clinique and Eden by Cacharel. Both are strong contenders, outside that I want to get Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden! It's cheap but such a nice perfume, I love green scents. I did try White Tea before but I didn't like it at all. Plus it's such a 90s scent with very, very 90s bottle. Perfection.
*I felt surprisingly energized today and my body didn't hurt like during most of current, already passing, week. I slept better today and I could wake up early without problem. I think I'll do something sewing related today hopefully.
